Kiddie Park

There are so many fun things to do in Tulsa and the surrounding areas. Last week we went to the new QT splash pad and then to The Bass Pro Shop to listen to stories and watch them feed the fish. Not to mention just wandering around the store looking at all the life size animals everywhere. This week, one of the things we did was drive to Bartlesville to go to their Kiddie Park. It is like a toddler-sized amusement park. The girls LOVED it. At first, Emily was a little scared to ride the rides, but Daddy finally talked me into just leaving her on the ride whining a little and she ending up having a blast.

Boats

The boats were the first ride we attempted. Abigail jumped right in. Emily chose a different boat. Then, she screamed to get out. But, as you can see from the picture below, Emily eventually got into the boat(the Dora and Boots one, of course) and asked to go again and again.
Little Fire Ball Roller Coaster

Abigail was even brave enough to ride the roller coaster with Daddy. You can't see her in the video because she is cuddled up really close to him. She was braver than I thought and really enjoyed herself.
Horse-Drawn Carriages

These horse-drawn carriages were the first ride for Emily. I think it helped to calm some of her tension since it was a ride with "Neigh-Neighs".

Turtles

This was the Turtle ride. Mommy and Daddy both got to ride this with the girls. It was similar to a little roller coaster.

Cars

These cars were really cute. The girls asked to ride again and the second time, they chose different cars. Emily picked a shiny, pink car and Abigail chose a red fire engine. She would say "wahh, wahh" like a fire engine sound, but in a soft, monotone voice.
Trucks

They actually rode this ride together. Abigail requested the blue truck, but insists that her favorite color is purple. Emily says hers is green.
Airplanes
OK, I'll admit that this airplane ride freaked me out a little. It not only goes around and around, but up and out, too. I was shocked that Abigail was so calm as she rode it. Not only was she calm, but she insisted that she ride the big airplanes, too. Our big, big girl!!!

Swings

Emily's favorite ride was the Swings. This does not surprise me at all since she could spend hours in the swings in our back yard or any of the parks we visit. She rode this 3 times.

Mommy and Daddy got to ride this ride with the girls, too. We made sure not to allow our cage to spin around and around like the other kids were making theirs do. I think we may be getting too old:(
Carousel
Closing Down the Park
We made it just in time to ride the Carousel one last time as we headed out the gates. Emily really liked it, but wanted to sit in the seat and watch the horses go up and down. Abigail wanted all the thrills of riding the horses.
We had such a wonderful time. It is absolutely worth the 45 minute drive down Highway 75. We are planning to go back a couple more times this summer. We spent 2 and a half hours there, the girls rode everything they wanted to (again and again), and we only spent $15. Well worth it!!!
