Fishin'

The girls already LOVE going over to Aunt Jessie and Uncle Donnie's, but then add fishing in the creek with that, I never hear the end of begging to go visit. They were kind enough to take the girls fishing, with E, of course. Uncle Donnie caught two HUGE fish, most likely while the kids were playing in the water. Emily enjoyed him catching them, but wanted nothing to do with touching or getting close to the fish. Abigail was brave enough to hold one of the day's catches.I just loved this picture. Three precious, little kids' hands playing in the cool water. Thanks for the pictures, Aunt Jessica! I was totally shocked that Abi was the one who wanted to interact with the fish. She is usually the stand-offish one.

Uncle Donnie must have the patience of a saint; taking two 3 year olds and a 4 year old fishing at the same time. And, I don't think even one of them lost their poles or ended up falling head first into the creek.

First Time in Rainbows...Take 2

Our first attempt at attending Rainbows was last week, but the church was having some electrical problems. This led to us entertaining ourselves in the play room until they were able to determine if church would be canceled. It eventually was, but the girls had a blast anyway.

This week was our first official entrance into the Rainbows Club. The girls were very excited about going, but I think they thought there would be more actual rainbows involved.

Abigail was so excited about the time she spent in Rainbows. When we picked her up from church on Easter Sunday, she ran to me and said, "Mommy, Jesus is ALIVE!!" I'm so glad they are already learning so much from their teachers.

These are their crafts from their class tonight. The large black sheet is a zebra they covered with spaghetti noodles for the stripes. The smaller ones are their hands covered with cotton balls. I'm not sure the rationale behind the projects is, but the girls were very proud of their work.

Coloring Eggs

The girls were thrilled at getting to color eggs this year. It was a little bit of a messy process, but once Mommy and Daddy cleaned up their own messes, the girls did a fantastic job. They waited patiently for the eggs to dye and then put stickers on them.

For each egg, one girl got to choose the eyes, and the other girl got to choose the mouth to go with them.

We ended up with some cute faces on our eggs.

Zoobilee

We attended the Tulsa Zoo's annual Zoobilee event this year. It was a beautiful morning; a great time to spend with the family, see some animals, and hunt Easter eggs. We began by riding the carousel, then made our way to the back of the zoo on the train.Emily found the Easter bunny!!

A favorite mode of transportation for both girls. Daddy is often seen carrying one on his shoulders and holding the other in his arms.

Abigail on her way to put out a fire in her fire engine. After this, she had to ride each of the bouncy toys around the play area.

They had several crafts for the children to do. Here Emily is coloring an egg with a marker. Luckily it was pretty much like an egged-shaped rock since she dropped it more than a few times.

Again, Abigail would not pick up any eggs that were not red. Unfortunately for her, none of the eggs here were red, so she walked away with an empty basket. Fortunately for her, she has a very generous sister who doesn't like chocolate, so Emily shared some of her candy.
