What's New?

Okay, so it has been a while since I've updated. So, I have a lot to tell you about. First, and most importantly, Emily is a full fledged walker now. She rarely crawls, but still takes some stumbles. We say that she officially started walking on her own April 18, 2008. That is when she began using walking to get some place and not just practicing with Mommy and Daddy. From there, she started standing up on her own and has been perfecting her walking ever since.

Last weekend, Aunt Tracie and Uncle Bryan had their wedding party at Nana and Papa's. We got to visit with lots of family and celebrate their marriage.

The Happy Couple

I just thought this was too cute...Daddy took the opportunity to cuddle up with Pinky while taking a nap. Abigail also found time to snuggle with the lovable pink poodle.

More updates...Abigail still loves reading A LOT. She gets borderline obsessed with a book until she has learned everything she can and then moves to a new book. So far she has been through Dora's Rainbow Egg Hunt, Five Little Ducklings, Daddies Are For Catching Fireflies, Mommies Are For Counting Stars, and Bible Animals. She loves to dance and twist around in circles. She can run fairly quickly and is pretty good at throwing a basketball. We've moved both girls from having their trays on their high chairs to just sitting in them at the table. This move made Abigail very happy. We went through a bout of conjunctivitis and a cold for about 2 weeks. We have no clue where they could have gotten pink eye, but it started with Emily and of course, she shared it with Sister. One peculiar thing, Emily has started to refuse fruits. She has always been a little picky, but now I can't even trick her into eating any type of fruit. Hopefully it is just a phase. They can both point several body parts when asked including eyes, nose, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, hair, fingers, toes, feet, eyebrow, tummy, and belly button. They also make the sounds of a cow, bee, lion, and dog. They have really began jabbering. Sometimes it seems like they are telling you a whole story or Abigail pretends to be reading a book. Their favorite time to babble is at meal time. I'm sure they are telling Mommy how wonderful the meal is that she prepared:) They both got their first scrapes from playing outside. Abigail's is on her head(you can see it in the above video) and Emily's is on her knee. This is just one area we have found that shows they are quickly growing from babies to our little girls. They have also switched from 3 naps to 2 per day and their bed time has moved back to 7:30. Unfortunately, the 30 minute delay in bed time has not translated to 30 more minutes for sleep in the morning. They still get up at about 6:20. That is good for Daddy though because it means he gets to spend some time with them before he goes to work. We'll have to figure something out when summer comes and he gets to be with them all day. That brings me to some exciting news...we are moving back to Oklahoma in a few weeks!!!!! Some things need to fall into place beforehand and that will determine when we are moving exactly, but we know it will have to be before school begins because Daddy will be starting a new job at Union Intermediate High School. We are all excited to be moving closer to our families.
